Why do children continue to slip through the cracks in public education?

Teachers need to have communication partners as our trusted allies so that we can serve the children effectively each day.  As educators, we will need to communicate closely with parents in order to understand and mitigate student needs as the rapidity of change occurs more frequently than we can keep up with, via training.   I believe this change in the field of education is essential if we are going to promote stewardship in our students in order to develop healthy critical thinkers and globally minded citizens of the world.

I hold a Waldorf Teacher Certificate from the Bay Area Center for Waldorf Teacher Training as well as a BA in Professional Studies through American College of Education.  My future goals include taking a deeper dive into the understanding of human beings on a more holistic level, and also to develop a meaningful relationship to the field of education.

As an educator, understanding the needs of the children in my care means making deep and dynamic relationships for the ultimate results of happy, healthy, educated citizens of the world.  Working with parents goes hand in hand, in my field as a Waldorf Educator and I take my role very seriously when it comes to providing essential and clear feedback to parents about their children.
